HOUSTON, Texas -The Southern Miss women's cross country team earned their first All-Conference selection since 2005 as Stephanie Ledgerwood finished 13th overall out of 92 runners in the 2011 Conference USA Cross Country Championship.
Ledgerwood covered the 5K course in a season-best performance of 17:37.8. Krista Moylan was the next finisher for the Eagles (50) as she posted a time of 19:12.2, followed by Jocelyn Lockhart (53) with a time of 19:16.6. Rounding out the Golden Eagle runners were Kara Moylan (77) with a time of 21:22.0, Brittany Ware (78) with a time of 21:57.7, Sarah Thiel with a time of 25:19.3 and Caitilin Canattella at 25:37.0.
The University of Tulsa men and SMU women won the 2011 Conference USA Cross Country Championship at the Wildcat Golf Course on Monday in Houston, Texas. The Golden Hurricane men picked up their second-straight title, and the Mustangs captured their third crown in the last four years.
