Assistant Coach/Head Cross Country Coach

Deb Osteen begins her first season as a member of the Southern Miss track and field coaching staff. Her main coaching responsibilities include working with the middle- and distance runners and cross country teams.

Last season, Osteen had the first outdoor middle-distance runner qualify for the regional meet.

Prior to coming to Southern Miss, worked at PDP Company as a marketing coordinator.

Osteen was a four-year letterwinner in cross country and three-year letterwinner in track and field at Nebraska, specializing in the 3,000- and 5,000 meters. She graduated in 2001 with a degree in business administration. She prepped at Clayton Valley High School, in Clayton, Calif., where she was a four-year letter winner in cross country and track. She also lettered in soccer.

The Clayton, Calif., native is the daughter of David and Sharon Osteen.
