HOUSTON -- Southern Miss sophomore setter Sarah Bell was one of five honorees on Conference USA's All-Tournament Team.
Bell posted an outrageous 62 assists in the Golden Eagles' match with host Rice on Saturday, the most by anyone in the league at that point on the year and the most by someone in the Black and Gold since Kristen Fleming's 65 at FIU on Oct. 19, 2014.
The San Antonio native totaled 107 assists on the weekend with 19 digs, third-most on the team. She even had the second-highest hitting percentage after holding the team lead all year there too. Bell was No. 10 nationally in assists per set at 11.43 as of Nov. 18. The First-Team All-Conference pick will enter her junior season just 37 assists away from catching No. 6 Amy Truong (2,684 assists from 2000-04) on the school's all-time list.
The Golden Eagles finished their season 23-8, the third-best in program history behind the 2009 (27-5) and 2003 (27-6) squads.
