IRVING, Texas -- Southern Miss outside hitter Catherine Repsher has now been named Conference USA's Freshman of the Week four times.
The Carl Junction, Mo., native racked up 21 kills, along with 4 digs and six blocks over the weekend. Against Middle Tennessee, Repsher notched 12 kills at a .588 hitting percentage to help Southern Miss to a .371 mark in the victory, its best against a league opponent since Nov. 1, 2013 against East Carolina.
Repsher’s 1.19 blocks per set is third among C-USA leaders and first among C-USA freshmen this season. Her 185 kills are third on the team and the .292 hitting percentage is just two spots behind setter Sarah Bell for the Golden Eagle lead as well.
Southern Miss (16-7, 5-3 C-USA) will be home each of the next two Fridays and Sundays to close out its home campaign. The first of those matches will be at 6 p.m. Friday against Charlotte.
