Volleyball Set for a Pair of Matches Against the Knights
Golden Eagles look to snap losing streak.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss volleyball team is back on the road for a matchup with UCF on Friday before returning home to host the Knights on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Southern Miss heads into the weekend with a 6-14 record and 2-6 in Conference USA play after going 0-2 on the road at UAB and Memphis last weekend. So far this season, three Golden Eagles are averaging 2.86 kills per set or more, including Jasmine Crowell and Halie Ecker who lead the team with 3.11 kills per set each. Freshman Lydia Bonner is not far behind with 2.86 kills per set. Kristen Fleming is averaging 10.23 assists per set while libero Elizabeth Rinaudo has a team-high 4.19 digs per set.
Southern Miss vs. UCF The Golden Eagles are 8-5 against the Knights dating back to 1998.
Scouting the Knights UCF is 7-13 overall with a 4-4 record in C-USA play. The Knights are currently hitting .179 as a team with 12.57 kills per set and averaging 1.80 blocks per set. Angelica Crump paces UCF offensively with a 3.25 kill per set average. Meredith Murphy has collected 300 digs for a 4.11 per set average while Marie Reiterova and Dana Faught combine to average 11.78 assist per set.
