HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss volleyball will offer a variety of camps during the month of July and according to head coach Abbey Sutherland, registration is now open for all camps.
The July camps begin July 10-11 with a camps designed for the Libero/Defense positions and setter/hitter. The setter/hitter camp will split up the setters and hitters and then finish with both groups combined to focus on different sets and attacks.
On July 12-14, a three-day team camp will is set and will include team competition, skill instruction and game strategies. A two-day commuter camp has been set aside for beginners on July 15-16. The camp is designed for people with little or no experience playing the sport. Emphasis is on fun and creating a love for the sport of volleyball. Boys and girls are both welcome to attend.
A commuter two-day camp designed for middle school students grades 5-8 is set for July 17-18. This camp will focus on beginner volleyball skills for individual and teams with the camp ending with a tournament.
The Elite Level Camp is set for July 19-21. This Residential/Commuter three-day ELITE Level Camp is for the experienced volleyball player. This camp brushes up on fundamentals and then moves on to scrimmages and match play.
