Rachel Lindelow begins her first season as an assistant coach for the Southern Miss volleyball program. Her duties include on the court coaching, recruiting, scouting, assistance in practice planning, fundraising, travel, camp coordinator and various administrative duties.
Prior to coming to Southern Miss, Lindelow spent the past season as the program coordinator for football and the swimming and diving programs at Tulane. She also served as the Nola Volleyball Club team coach where she was responsible for the technical development of players though practice planning and implementation.
Lindelow spent a three seasons as St. Mary's Dominican High School as head volleyball coach. While there, her teams advanced to the semifinals of the state tournament while guiding her team to an undefeated district champions. She was tabbed the district Coach of the Year in 2011 and Times Picayune Metro "Large School Coach of the Year" in 2010.
Lindelow is no stranger to Conference USA volleyball as she was a standout player at Tulane from 2006 to 2009. She finished her career with 3,144 assists, ranking fourth all-time. In 2009, she earned AVCA Honorable Mention All-American honors, first team AVCA All-Midwest Region, second team All-Conference USA and second team All-Louisiana.
The Mandeville, La., native earned a bachelor's degree in consumer behavior and marketing in 2010.
