Track and Field Performers Compete In Day Two of NCAA National Outdoor Championships

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- - Senior long jumper Tanika Liburd failed to place in the top eight performers in the finals of the long jump competition, recording a jump of 5.80m (19-0.50) and finishing in 11-place.

Liburd was unable to come close to her personal best and school record of

Junior Hana Prudilova failed to advance to the finals of the javelin with a throw of 42.75m (140-3).

Ashley Reyer was in 19th-place after the first day of competition in the heptathlon with 3,144 points. Reyer looks to improve her standing with her stronger events coming on Friday with the long jump, javelin and 800-meter run.

Cornelius Duncan will compete in the 400-meter semifinals at 6 p.m., on Friday evening.
