Women's Tennis Draws 4-2 Win over UTEP
Golden Eagles snap three-match losing streak

JONESBORO, Ark. -- The Southern Miss women's tennis team beat UPTEP by winning four of six singles matches for the 4-2 win Saturday at Alan Park in Jonesboro, Ark.
The teams started with singles competition because of UTEP's travel schedule.
In singles, Mackenzie Oskin struck first with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Anastasiya Sylenko in the four-spot. Kate Lanier added the second point for the Golden Eagles with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Gabi Vazquez on court three. UTEP got its first point on court five when Dairya Abdrakhmanova downed Moorea Williams 6-1, 6-4, then, tied the match on court one as Martina Trierweiler defeated Alexus Coats 7-5, 6-1.
Alex Bradley broke the 2-2 tie in winning her match on court six with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Marie LeBlond. The match was clinched by Elja van Berlo who pulled out a 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 win over Rebeca Calvillo on court two.
Southern Miss will close out the regular season on Sunday with a non-conference match against Arkansas State at 10 a.m.
