HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss Softball co-head coaches Jon Malgradi and Kirsten Voak, along with assistant Grady Moorhead, will host a variety of summer camps on June 11-13 for campers 9-19 at the Southern Miss Softball Complex.
Campers have a number of options at the camps with an All Skills taking place in the morning before a position specific, hour-long camp with the coaching staff takes place in the afternoon.
The All Skills camp will run from 9 a.m. to Noon and will cover the fundamentals of softball, including base running, fielding, hitting, catching and plate approach. Cost for the morning season is $150.
In the afternoon, from 1-2 p.m., campers can take part in a skill-specific camp with options for pitching, catching and hitting clinics. Cost for each of these sessions is $80.
For those campers interested in both a morning and afternoon clinic, the cost to register for both comes at the discounted $215 rate.
All pitchers must provide their own catchers for the pitching clinic.
Campers will be required to have a signed waiver and consent to treat form signed by a parent prior to taking part in the camp. Additionally, a copy of the camper's most recent physical (dated within the last academic year) or a physician's statement in lieu of a physical and a copy of the camper's health insurance card is required.
