HATTIESBURG, Miss. - In addition to today's Southern Miss baseball rain-out, the Southern Miss softball game against Southeastern Louisiana has also be cancelled due to rain. The game will not be made up, and there are no further home games for the Golden Eagle softballers this season. The Golden Eagles return to the field when they travel to Houston for a three-game Conference USA series to complete their regular season schedule over the weekend. Southern Miss has also qualified for the 2012 C-USA Softball Championship for the fifth consecutive season, held May 10-12 in Birmingham, Ala., at host school UAB.
