HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The University of Southern Mississippi softball team returns to Hattiesburg for a doubleheader against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday evening at the Southern Miss Softball Complex.
The game against the Golden Lions will be "Team Day." All teams that submit a roster to the marketing department receives free admission to the game.

Southern Miss enters the contests with a 14-16 overall record, including an 8-4 mark at home. Arkansas-Pine Bluff is 5-22 with a 5-19 mark away from home, including a 0-12 mark in true road games.
The Golden Eagles and Golden Lions have never met on the softball diamond.
The doubleheader is the first of five consecutive games at home for the Black and Gold and concludes a stretch of 11-of-14 games at the Southern Miss Softball Complex. The Golden Eagles swept Alcorn State in a three-game series, before taking 2-of-3 conference games against Middle Tennessee. Southern Miss traveled to Boca Raton, Fla. for a three-game set with Florida Atlantic before returning home for five straight home games.
