Southern Miss Softball Rained Out
The two teams will pick up the game on Sunday afternoon.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - After one inning of play on Friday, rain and lightning in the area forced Southern Miss and Northwestern State to postpone play at the Southern Miss Softball Complex.
The two teams traded homeruns in the first inning and the Lady Demons were carrying a 4-3 lead into the second inning at the time of postponement. Taylor Beck had a two-run roundtripper for the Eagles, her second of the season.
Southern Miss will return to the diamond on Saturday as part of their second home tournament when they are scheduled to play Northwestern State at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday's schedule has been altered to accommodate the make-up game.
Northwestern State at Louisiana Tech - 9 a.m.
Louisiana Tech at Southern Miss - 11 a.m.
Northwestern State at Southern Miss - 1 p.m.
