HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Junior defender Caitlin Leumas added her third postseason award when she was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 6 First Team presented by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Friday.

Leumas, a three-year letterwinner for the Golden Eagles on the back line, was named to the All-Academic First Team for the second year in a row last week and was also named to the All-Conference third team.

The Mandeville, La., native has maintained a flawless 4.0 GPA at Southern Miss as a Kinesiotherapy major while playing 4794 of a possible 5006 minutes in her career, missing just 212 minutes over the first three games of her freshman campaign.

It is also the third consecutive Academic All-District award for the Golden Eagles as former striker Jana Mason earned consecutive second team honors following the 2010 and 2009 seasons while Amy Davis picked up second team honors in 2009.
