Golden Eagle Soccer Concludes Regular Season with UCF on Friday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Coming off a 2-1 Conference USA victory over UAB, the Southern Miss women's soccer team will close out their regular season by hosting UCF on Friday at the Southern Miss Soccer Complex.

The Golden Eagles (4-12-3, 1-8-1 C-USA) defeated the Blazers in the 96th minute as Jordan Wagner ripped a shot by CJ Winship to give the squad their first conference victory of the year.

In the Knights (10-3-5, 5-2-3 C-USA), Southern Miss will need to slow down an attack that has outscored its opponents 27-15 and out-shot its opponents 260-185 on the season. Junior Tishia Jewell is second in C-USA in points with 20 while Nicolette Radovcic is tied for seventh in the conference with 16 points. Senior goalkeeper Aline Reis has played every minute in goal for the Knights this season and ranks third in the conference in save percentage, goals against average and shutouts.

It will also be the final regular season game for four Golden Eagle seniors. Amy Davis, Hannah Vanderboegh, Stefani Buller and Elisha Tarbell were all honored last weekend prior to the UAB match and will complete their stellar careers as Golden Eagles on Friday.

Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. and admission to the match is free.
