HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- - The Lady Eagle soccer team hits the road for a crucial pair of matches at Memphis on Friday and UAB on Sunday. Memphis is one of two teams undefeated in league play.

Southern Miss 7-8-0, 3-3-0) is coming off a 2-1 win over UTEP last Sunday. Freshman Mallory Barnes netted a goal in the 55 minute, tying the match at 1-1. Senior Erin Bunyard provided the game-winner in the 75 minute, marking her first career goal.

Sarah McFadden paces Eagles with six goals. Seven other players have recorded at least one goal. Goalkeeper Anna Fiser has played all but 51 minutes. She has 60 saves on the season, with a 1.71 goal against average.

Memphis (11-2-1, 4-0-1) comes into the match, following a 3-1 won over SMU. Kylie Hayes leads the team with eight goals, followed by Harumi Someya with seven. Eight other players have scored at least one goal. Goalkeeper Isabel Briones is 10-2-1, with six shutouts and 46 saves, while sporting a 0.96 goal against average.

UAB (7-6-1, 3-2-0) host UCF before playing Southern Miss on Sunday. Sally Palmer and Danya Barsalona led the Blazers with six goals apiece. Goalkeeper Kate Blankenship has played all the minutes, boasting a .97 goal against average and 38 saves.

Following the weekend series, Southern Miss concludes its regular season at UCF on Nov. 2.
