Soccer vs. Mississippi Valley State Rescheduled for Tuesday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss soccer team will host Mississippi Valley State in a game on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 5:00 p.m. at the Southern Miss Soccer Complex. The two teams were originally slated to take the pitch on Sunday at 1:00 p.m., but the game was moved until Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles hold a 7-1-0 advantage in the all-time series. Last season, the Black and Gold posted a 6-0 victory over MVSU on the road. Southern Miss has outscored Mississippi Valley State, 32-4, in the all-time series.

If anything could go right on the pitch, it happened in favor of the Southern Miss soccer team on Sunday, as the Golden Eagles remained undefeated on the early season with a 6-0 win over the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devilettes.

The game is designated as "Block Out the Delta Devils" and the first 100 fans receive a pair of Southern Miss sunglasses. Admission to the game is free.
