Holly Cox begins her second season of coaching after spending the previous five years between the pipes for Southern Miss.
In her first season mentoring the goalkeepers, Southern Miss keeper Hannah Vanderboegh had the seventh-most saves all-time in a season with 71 and tied a school record with 16 saves in a game at Colorado College.
She is also a first-year member of the Mississippi Olympic Development Program coaching staff, working with the top female players in the state to achieve their soccer goals. Cox also spends her time tutoring youth goalkeepers and position players in the greater Hattiesburg area while maintaining her role as a member of the Golden Eagle coaching staff. Her knowledge of the game is a resource utilized by many of the premier camps in the Pine Belt region.
As a Golden Eagle keeper, she played 4,881 minutes and recorded 15 wins. She totaled 246 saves and two shutouts in her career.
In the classroom, Cox was a double major and earned Bachelors degrees in Sport Coach and Physical Education. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Physical Education.
