HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss women's golf coach Julie Gallup announced the signings of Devon Spriddle (Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada) and Emily Ross (Diamondhead, Miss.) to national letters-of-intent for the 2013-14 season, Wednesday afternoon.

Spriddle finished third at the 2012 Alberta School's Athletic Association Championship. She is a three-time Alberta Novice champion and was named the Alberta Golf Female Junior Achiever of the Year in 2012. In October, Spriddle shot a 69 to win the Semiahmoo Junior Open Championship, including making her first hole-in-one. She is also a member of Team Alberta in 2012-13.

Emily Ross

Ross played her high school golf at Hancock High School. She won the 2011 Class II State Championship by seven strokes, shooting a 140. She followed that up with a runner-up finish last year. She also helped Hancock to a second-place finish in 2012. Ross twice won on the Arrowhead Golf Tour, first at the Bridges Golf Club followed by a title at Lakewood Golf Club in Port Clear, Ala. She also finished second at the Future Collegians World Tour event in Greenville after shooting a 74-69.
