HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf will close out its 2012 fall season when it travels to Gulf Shores, Ala., for the UAB Fall Beach Bash, hosted by UAB and played at the par-72, 6,050-yard Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club.

Also participating in the tournament are Austin Peay, Belmont, Emby-Riddle, Houston Baptist, Sam Houston State, Tennessee Tech, host UAB and West Florida.

Golfers will play 18 holes on Monday and 18 and Tuesday. Both days will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

This will be the sixth time that Southern Miss will take part in the UAB Fall Beach Bash. Last year, Southern Miss finished in second-place, its best finish ever in the tournament.

Southern Miss is coming off a fifth-place finish at the Blue Raider Invitational. The Lady Eagles are led by junior Brandi Rodriguez with a stroke average of 74.60. Senior Vicky Correa is averaging 73.30 and freshman Juliana Herrera is carding 76.10 strokes per round.
