HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team continues the season this week when it travels to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for the MTSU Blue Raider Invitational, hosted by Middle Tennessee State and played at the par-72, 6,177-yard Old Fort Golf Club.
Also participating in the tournament are Austin Peay, Belmont, Jacksonville State, host Middle Tennessee State, Missouri-Kansas City, Morehead State, Murray State, Northern Iowa, Oral Roberts, South Alabama, Southern Illinois, Tennessee Tech, UTEP, Troy, Western Kentucky.
Golfers will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 and Tuesday. Both days will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
Southern Miss is coming off a fifth-place finish at the rain-shortened Lady Pirate Invitational. The Lady Eagles are led by junior Brandi Rodriguez with a stroke average of 74.00. Freshman Juliana Herrera is averaging 74.86 and senior Vicky Correa is posting 75.14 strokes per round.
