Women's Golf Heads to Old Waverly Bulldog Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team continues the fall season when it travels to West Point, Miss. to participate in the Old Waverly Bulldog Invitational. The tournament, which will be Sept. 29-Oct. 2, is hosted by Mississippi State and will be played at the par-72, 6,113-yard Old Waverly Golf Course.
Participating in the tournament along with Southern Miss are Cincinnati, Memphis, Murray State, Southern Miss, East Carolina, Florida International, Georgia State, South Alabama, South Florida and East Tennessee State.
Teeing off in the No. 1 position is senior Brandi Rodriguez at 10:14 a.m. The Orlando, Fla., native has a stroke average of 78.33. She is coming off a 45th-place finish at the Lady Paladin Invitational.
Teeing off in the No. 2 position is sophomore Jennifer Nguyen at 9:52 a.m. CT. In her only tournament of the year, Nguyen finished tied for 68th-place at the Chip-N-Club Invitational.
Freshman Devon Spriddle will tee off in the No. 3 position at 9:41 a.m. CT. The Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, native is currently averaging 82.17 strokes per round through six rounds.
Senior Kaylee Random will tee off in the No. 4 position at 9:30 a.m. CT. The Alpharetta, Ga., native will be participating in her first tournament of the year. Last year, she averaged 81.41 strokes per round in 17 rounds.
Freshman Emily Ross will tee off first in the No. 5 position at 9:52 a.m. CT. The Diamondhead, Miss., native is averaging 81.50 strokes per round after tying for 85th-place at the Lady Paladin Invitational.
