Women's Golf Opens 2013-14 Season at Chip-N-Club Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team opens the 2013-14 season when it travels to Lincoln, Neb., for the Chip-N-Club Invitational, hosted by Nebaska and played at the par-72, 6,251-yard Country Club of Lincoln.
Also competing in the tournament are Central Arkansas, Creighton, Houston Baptist, Iowa, Missouri State, host Nebraska, Nebraska-Omaha, North Dakota State, South Dakota, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UMKC and Wichita State.
Golfers will play 36 holes on Monday, beginning at 9 a.m., and 18 on Tuesday.
The Lady Eagles are led by senior Brandi Rodriguez, who is currently the career leader in stroke average. Last year, she averaged, 76.11 stokes per round, with two top five, three top 10 and six top 20 finishes.
