Rodriguez Advances to Stage II of LPGA Q-School
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former Southern Miss women's golfer Brandi Rodriguez advanced to Stage II of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Qualifying School.
Rodriguez opened the 72-hole Stage I with a 75. After posting consecutive 73's, she carded a final round 77 to finish 10-over 298.
"I didn't play as well as I would have liked, but it was still good enough to advance, which is what matters," said Rodriguez. "After this weekend, I still have some things that I need to work on. But, the good thing is that Stage II will be played just two hours from me, so I already feel like I have an advantage. I just want to take this month to get better and prepare for the next stage."
Stage II Qualifying takes place Sept. 30-Oct. 3 at Plantation Golf & Country Club in Venice, Fla.
