Women's Golf Travels to Conference USA Championship

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team travels to Gulf Shores, Ala., for the 2014 Conference USA Championship. The tournament, which will be held Apr. 21-23, will be hosted by UAB and played at the Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club.
Teeing off in the No. 1 position is senior Brandi Rodriguez. The Orlando, Fla., native leads the team with a stroke average of 75.16, which currently stands as the lowest season average in school history. She is coming off her third top-five finish of the year at the Rebel Intercollegiate.
Sophomore Juliana Herrera will tee off in the No. 2 position. The Plantation, Fla., native is currently averaging 76.53 strokes per round. She has four rounds of par or better this year and three top-20 finishes.
Teeing off in the No. 3 position is senior Lauren Judson. In seven tournaments this year, Judson has a stroke average of 78.68.
Freshman Devon Spriddle will tee off in the No. 4 position. This year, the Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, native has a stroke average of 80.60.
In the No. 5 position is senior Kaylee Random. The Alpharetta, Ga., native is averaging 82.08 strokes per round this year through 12 rounds.
