HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss women's golfers Vicky Correa and Brandi Rodriguez will participate in the Lady Bulldog Invitational, hosted by the University of Georgia, on Saturday, February 2. Thirty-eight golfers from 12 schools will compete in the tournament, which will take place at the par 72, 6,335-yard University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga.
In addition to Southern Miss, golfers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Augusta State, Chattanooga, Florida, Furman, Georgia, Ole Miss, North Georgia, Southern Cal and Tennessee are in the field. The competitors will tee off in threesomes from both No. 1 and No. 10 beginning at 8 a.m. The same pairings will play the second round immediately following the completion of their initial 18 holes.
Correa leads the Lady Eagles with a stroke average of 75.33. She earned two top five and four top 20 finishes in the fall. Rodriguez was second on the team with a stroke average of 75.50. She had one top five and two top 20 finishes.
