Women's Golf Finishes in 10th-Place at 2012 Conference USA Championships

Gulf Shores, Ala. - The Southern Miss women's golf team finished in 10th-place at the 2012 Conference USA Championships, played at the Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club in Gulf Shores, Ala., on the par-72, 6,426-yard Cypress-Marsh Course.

The Lady Eagles shot a final round 322 to finish 127-over par.

Senior Sandra Sohlberg carded a 76 to finish 26-over par in 38th-place. Sophomore Brandi Rodriguez tied for 39th-place at 27-over par after posting a second straight 79. Freshman Sarah Hicks shot a final round 79 to finish 36-over par in 42nd-place.

Redshirt sophomore Lauren Judson tied for 43rd-place at 38-over par following an 88 and junior Vicky Correa shot a 90 to finish in 48th-place.

Freshman Sarah Hicks is tied for 46th-place after shooting an 83 to sit 29-over par and junior Vicky Correa is 34-over par in 48th-place after a second round 88.

Tulane's Maribel Porras-Lopez earned medalist honors in the individual competition, finishing even par, four shots in front of SMU's Felicia Espericueta.

Tulsa won the team competition at 20-over par. UCF (+33) took second-place and Tulane took third at 34-over par.
