Southern Miss Women's Golf Tied for Eighth-Place after Two Rounds of Conference USA Championships

Gulf Shores, Ala. - The Southern Miss women's golf team is tied for eighth-place heading into the final round of the 2013 Conference USA Championships, played at the Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club in Gulf Shores, Ala., on the par-72, 6,426-yard Cypress-Marsh Course.
The Lady Eagles shot a second round 313 to sit 46-over par, tied with Old Dominion.
Senior Vicky Correa is tied for 12th-place at seven-over par after carding a 77. Freshman Juliana Herrera and juniors Brandi Rodriguez and Lauren Judson 13-over par, tied for 31st-place. Herrera and Judson both posted 78's while Rodriguez shot an 80.
Junior Kaylee Random closed out the scoring by posting an 83 to sit at 46th-place, 20-over par.
Tulane leads the team competition at 10-over par. East Carolina is in second-place at 22-over par.
Tulane's Madison Opfer and East Carolina's Nico Engstroem Skaug tied for the individual lead at one-over par.
The championship concludes tomorrow with the final round beginning at 7:45. Southern Miss will tee off from hole #10.
