Rodriguez Tied for Sixth-Place after Opening Round of Rebel Intercollegiate
The junior fired a career-best 70.

Oxford, Miss. - Junior Brandi Rodriguez fired a two-under 70 to tie for sixth-place after one round of the Rebel Intercollegiate, played at the par 72, 6,313-yard Ole Miss Golf Course.
The 70 is a career-best for Rodriguez. It is also her third round of par or better this year, which tied the school record for most in a season, and is the seventh of her career, which sets a new school record.
The round also ties the second lowest first round score in school history and ties the fourth lowest round ever.
The Lady Eagles opened with a 307, 1¬9-over par and tied with Redlands Community College for 13th-place.
Senior Vicky Correa is tied for 33rd-place after carding a 75. Junior Lauren Judson shot a 79 to sit in a 73rd-place tie. Junior Kaylee Random is tied for 90th-place after posting an 83 and freshman Juliana Herrera sits in 94th-place after carding an 84.
Coastal Carolina leads the tournament at four-under par, five shots ahead of Mississippi State and Baylor.
Baylor's Hayley Davis, East Tennessee State's Chloe Garner and Madison Opfer of Tulane are all tied for the individual lead at five-under par.
