Rodriguez Tied for Lead at Rebel Intercollegiate
Oxford, Miss. - Brandi Rodriguez fired an opening round, two-under par 70 to sit in a five-way tie for the lead at the Rebel Intercollegiate. The tournament is hosted by Ole Miss and is being played at the par 72, 6,279-yard Ole Miss Golf Course.
The 70 is Rodriguez' seventh round of par or better this year and the 14th of her career.
As a team, the Lady Eagles are tied for 14th-place at 17-over par after shooting a 305. They are tied with South Florida, two shots behind Notre Dame.
Freshman Devon Spriddle is tied for 46th-place at four-over par 76. Sophomore Juliana Herrera carded a six-over par 78 to sit in a tie for 62nd-place. Freshman Emily Ross is tied for 86th-place after shooting a nine-over par 81 and senior Kaylee Random posted an 85 to sit in 95th-place.
GRU-Augusta leads the team competition at two-under par, six shots in front of Coastal Carolina and East Tennessee State.
Due to expected inclement weather, the teams will play 36 holes tomorrow, beginning with an 8:15 a.m. CT shotgun start.
