HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Junior Brandi Rodriguez shot a final round 77 to finish 18-over par, tied for sixth-place at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate, played at the par-72, 6,164-yard Eagles Landing Country Club and hosted by Georgia State.
It is her third top ten finish of the year and the ninth of her career.
As a team, Southern Miss took sixth-place, finishing 104-over par, eight shots behind fifth-place Samford.
Senior Vicky Correa tied for 26th-place at 25-over par after shooting a final round 81. Freshman Juliana Herrera finished 30-over par, tied for 37th-place. Junior Lauren Judson shot a final round 82 to tie for 46th-place at 33-over par and freshman Jennifer Nguyen finished 37-over par, tying for 56th-place after carding an 82.
Kent State leads the team competition at 67-over par, 11 shots in front of second-place Old Dominion. ODU's Kimberley Bradbury won medalist honors at seven-over par, three shots in front of Jennifer Ha of Kent State.
The Lady Eagles return to the links in two weeks when it travels to Oxford, Miss., to participate in the Rebel Intercollegiate, April 5-7.
