Women's Golf in 11th-Place after One Round of UC Spring Invitational

Crystal River, Fla. - The Southern Miss women's golf team moved up to ninth-place heading into the final round of the UC Spring Invitational. The tournament is hosted by Cincinnati and is being played at the par-72, 6,054-yard Plantation Inn Golf Resort.

The Lady Eagles shot a 305, sitting 47-over par, six shots behind eighth-place Florida Atlantic.

Senior Brandi Rodriguez is tied for 17th-place at nine-over par after carding a 75. Freshman Devon Spriddle tied her career-low round, firing a 73 to sit 10-over par, tied for 20th-place.

Sophomore Juliana Herrera and senior Lauren Judson are tied for 38th-place at 14-over par. Herrera shot a 78 while Judson posted a 79.

Freshman Emily Ross is tied for 71st-place at 25-over par after posting an 85 and sophomore Jennifer Nguyen carded an 86 to tie for 74th-place at 26-over par. Senior Kaylee Random shot an 83 and is in 87th-place.

Lynn leads the team competition at 22-over par, three shots in front of Jacksonville. North Dakota State's Sarah Storandt, Lynn's Jessica Bradley and Jacksonville's Jessica Welch are tied for the individual lead at one over-par.

The final round begins tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. CT.
