Augusta, Ga. - Southern Miss women's golf tied its season-best with a final round 301 to finish 56-over par in eighth-place at the Insperity Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate, hosted by Augusta State and played at the par 72, 6,248 yard Forest Hills Golf Club.
The Lady Eagles also shot 301 in the first round of the Sir Pizza Cards Challenge.
Freshman Sarah Hicks tied her career-low round with a 73 to take 13th-place at eight-over par. Her 54-hole score of 224 was also a career-best. It is also her second straight top 20 finish.
Sophomore Brandi Rodriguez finished with a 77 to tie for 25th-place at 13-over par 229.
Freshman Pair Noibanchong tied for 48th-place at 20-over par. Senior Sandra Sohlberg and junior Vicky Correa tied for 51st-place at 21-over par.
UT-San Antonio won the team competition at 16-over par, six shots ahead of Augusta State.
Purdue's Paula Reto took home medalist honors at nine-under par, 10 shots ahead of Augusta State Casey Kennedy.
Southern Miss will play its final regular season tournament, Apr. 6-8, when it takes part in the Ole Miss Rebel Collegiate, played at Ole Miss Golf Club in Oxford, Miss.
