Satasuk Sets Program Record at SunTrust Gator Women’s Invite
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss women’s golfer Nichada Satasuk leads the charge for the Golden Eagles after the first day of the SunTrust Gator Women’s Invite. Satasuk improved on her opening seven-over 77 with a one-under 69 in the second round, climbing 18 spots to be tied for 34th.
The Chiangmai, Thailand product has collected seven round of par or better on the year, collecting 19 for her career. The senior has fired the most rounds of par or better in program history. Satasuk sits tied for 34th after 36 holes at six-over 146.
Valentina Haupt also used her second round to climb up the leaderboard, moving up 13 spots with a two-over 72. Her second round was an eight stroke improvement on her first round, an eight-over 80, and she owns a 12-over 152 total, to sit tied for 50th.
Miranda Holt and Emily Cox gathered a 17-over 157 during the day’s rounds and begin the final round tied for 62nd. Holt shot a nine-over 79 and an eight-over 78 and Cox collected an 11-over 81 and a six-over 76 through the two rounds. Kayla Bloor assembled an 18-over 158 after rounds of 11-over 81 and six-over 76. She is tied for 67th.
The team improved on its first round by 23 strokes and owns a 51-over 611 so far, positioning themselves in 13th place.
