IRVING, Texas - After scoring a school-record 47 points, FIU senior Jerica Coley has been named Conference USA Women's Basketball Player of the Week as voted upon by a select panel. Coley averaged 34.0 points per game and shot 51.1 percent from the floor en route to earning all-tournament honors at the Sun & Fun Classic hosted by FIU while taking C-USA Freshman of the Week accolades for the first time this season is Southern Miss' Kierra Jordan who came off the bench to score a season-high 18 points against Nicholls State in the team's only game of the week. She shot 66.7 percent (6-of-9) from the field and free throw line while grabbing a team-best six rebounds.

Jordan also had three blocks and one assist, while scoring the final five points of an 11-1 run to give Southern Miss the lead for good in the second half.

Jordan picks up her first C-USA Freshman of the week honor, but it marks the third such honor for Southern Miss as Brittanny Dinkins (N11) and Ashley Folsom (N18) earned the award in back-to-back weeks to open the 2013-14 season.
