HATTIESBURG, Miss. -The Southern Miss women's basketball team plays host to UALR on Tuesday, Nov. 19, in a 7 p.m. tip in Reed Green Coliseum.
The game has been designed at "Canned Food Drive" game. Free admission with two canned foods items donations.

Southern Miss Preview
The Lady Eagles are coming off a 74-58 loss at Hampton last weekend. Southern Miss did not have a player score in double figures as four players scored nine points, Jamierra Faulkner, Tamara Jones, Brittanny Dinkins and Kierra Jordan. Faulkner also had nine assists and three steals. Jordan grabbed a team-best seven rebounds.
Tamara Jones leads the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 17.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. Ashley Folsom is next at 15.3 followed by Jamierra Faulkner at 14.7 and Brittanny Dinkins at 14.3. Faulkner is dishing out 12.6 assists per game to go with 4.7 steals.
The Lady Eagles are averaging 84.0 points and 40.3 rebounds per game while shooting 48.5 percent from the field.
Scouting the UALR
UALR (1-1) comes into the game following a 72-68 loss at Missouri State. Taylor Gault scored a team-best 23 points while Taylor Ford had 15, Shanity James added 13 and Kiera Clark chipped in 11.
UALR returns eight letterwinners including all five starters from last season that finished 24-9. Gault leads the team in scoring with a 17.0 per game average followed by Clark with 15.0 points per game, James is next at 12.5 and Ford at 11.0 points per game. As a team, UALR is averaging 68.5 points and 33.0 rebounds per game while shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 62.2 percent from the line.
