Getting to Know the 2017-18 Lady Eagles: Camille Anderson
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss redshirt sophomore Camille Anderson comes to Southern Miss via a transfer from NC State.
The Buford, Ga. native played in 36 games through two seasons in Raleigh, getting two starting nods, and averaged 3.1 points per game during the 2015-16 season.
Despite having to sit out this year’s campaign, Anderson is excited to get things started at Southern Miss and is working hard on her game in the year off.
“It’s like getting a fresh start and Coach McNelis really believes in my abilities,” Anderson said. “I feel like Southern Miss can make me great. I’m working on driving to the basket, becoming a little craftier and getting a quicker pullup jumper.”
Anderson’s point guard bread and butter is based on seeing the floor, dishing out assists and the three-point.
“Lady Eagle fans have a lot of excitement on the court to look forward to,” Anderson said. “They’ll also see a lot of growth out of me.”
