Getting to Know the 2017-18 Lady Eagles: Hanah Lott
The Petal, Miss. native came loaded with connections
HATTIESBURG, Miss – Redshirt sophomore Hanah Lott comes to Southern Miss after spending two seasons at Jones County Junior College.
The Petal, Miss. native came to Southern Miss loaded with connections. She was high school teammates with Kennedy Gavin, JCJC teammates with Kyle Felton and she has been taught by Assistant Coach Lauren Pittman since high school.
She decided to come to Southern Miss because of the feeling of family that she felt in the program. Her tie-ins were just the icing on top.
“I chose to come to Southern Miss because I felt a strong sense of family from the first time I stepped foot on campus,” Lott said. “But what really made me choose USM was the future teammates I was going to have. I committed before Kyle and Kennedy committed but when I found out they were going to be my teammates it sealed the deal for me. Getting to be coached by Coach Pittman at every school I've attended is something I'll always cherish.”
Lott played in 26 games for the Bobcats her freshman year, starting all of them, before suffering an ACL injury her sophomore year four games into the season. Since she obtained a medical redshirt, Lott will have three years in a Lady Eagle uniform.
