Former Lady Eagle Update: Jamierra Faulkner
The former Southern Miss point guard is in her rookie season with the Chicago Sky

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former Southern Miss Lady Eagle basketball player Jamierra Faulkner (2010-2014) has enjoyed a solid start to her professional career with the Chicago Sky.
The rookie from West Palm Beach, Fla., has stepped into the starting lineup when veteran Courtney Vandersloot sustained a knee injury and has not disappointed. In her first starting assignment on July 1, Faulkner scored a game-high 27 points in leading the Sky to a victory over Los Angeles Sparks. She was 9-of-11 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free line.
Faulkner is currently averaging 8.3 points and 3.4 assists per game overall. Over the last six games, her averages have improved to 13.0 points, 5.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game while playing 33 minutes per game.
Faulkner ranks eighth among all rookies in scoring and fifth in assists while playing in 21 games with six starts. She has logged nine games with double-digit points including four of her last six games.
The 2014 Gillom Trophy winner completed her career at Southern Miss as the third all-time leading scorer with 2,056 points, all-time leader in assists with 883, and all-time leader in steals with 366.
