HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss women's basketball team snapped a six-game losing streak with a 68-61 victory at Marshall on Thursday night and will conclude its two-game road swing with a visit at Tulane on Sunday in a nationally televised game on CBS Sports Network. Tip time is slated for 11 a.m. central time.

Southern Miss Preview
Southern Miss enters the contest with a 13-14 overall record and 5-9 in league play following a 68-61 win at Marshall. Jamierra Faulkner netted a game-high 24 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the field to go with seven assists and three steals. Jerontay Clemons had 20 points while Tanecka Carey added 13 points. Clemons and Carey led the team with six rebounds apiece.
Faulkner became the all-time assist leader with her seven assists and Carey set a new single-season record in three-point field goals made in a season.
Faulkner continues to lead the team in scoring with 18.4 points per game average while Carey is next at 14.8. Jerontay Clemons leads the team in rebounding with 6.8 rebounds per game while contributing 10.0 points.
As a team, the Lady Eagles are averaging 62.7 points on 39.9 percent shooting from the field. The Black and Gold is averaging 38.4 rebounds and shooting 62.4 percent from the charity stripe.
Tulane brings a 21-6 overall record and 10-4 in league play into today's game following a 73-68 win at SMU Thursday night. Danielle Blagg led a trio of Green Wave players with 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting including 4-of-7 from behind the arc. Jamie Kaplan was next with 15 points and Olivia Grayson added 10. Tiffany Dale and Adesuwa Ebomwonyi tallied seven rebounds each.
Whitney Bibbins leads the Green Wave with 12.4 points per game followed by Blagg at 10.3 and Grayson at 9.2 points, respectively. Dale leads the team in rebounding with 6.8 rebounds per game.
Tulane is averaging 66.9 points and 41.6 rebounds per game while shooting a 40.7 percent from the field and 68.6 percent from the line.
Southern Miss vs. Tulane Series Record
This is the 62nd meeting between the two teams dating back to the 1977 season. This is one of the longer running series of any opponent. Southern Miss leads the overall series, 34-27, and has won five out of the last eight meetings.
Following the Tulane game, the Lady Eagles will close out the regular season on Mar. 7 when Southern Miss hosts East Carolina in the season finale. Seniors Carey, Ance Celmina and Danielle Johnson will be honored in a postgame ceremony
