HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women’s basketball team (14-13, 6-8) puts a bow on its regular season this week with home contests against WKU on Thursday, March 1 at 6 p.m. and FIU on Saturday, March 3 at 2 p.m.

The Lady Toppers own a 21-6 record overall and sit atop the Conference USA standings with a 12-2 conference mark. Though WKU took the meeting between the two teams earlier in the season, both of the Lady Toppers blemishes in conference have come on the road.

The Lady Eagles’ Sunday win saw the fewest points scored in a victory this season and Jayla King’s 10 point performance brought her within 20 points of hitting 1,000 career points. The showdown with the Miners also featured the first contest of the 2017-2018 campaign where Southern Miss was outrebounded and still secured a victory.

Saturday’s game will be a doubleheader featuring the Golden Eagles taking on LA Tech at 4:30. As always, fans can watch the games on CUSA.TV or listen to Josh West on the broadcast via The Score 1400 AM or the Southern Miss Game Day App starting 30 minutes before tipoff.
