- The Southern Miss women's basketball team plays the first of its final two home games when the Lady Eagles face UAB on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The game has been designated as Wings Appreciation Night. The First 100 fans receive a free Southern Miss lanyard.

Southern Miss Preview
The Lady Eagles (21-5, 10-3) are coming off a 78-70 road win at Florida Atlantic. Senior Jamierra Faulkner scored a game-high 29 points to go with six rebounds, five assists and four steals while Markia Nix recorded her second double-double with 12 point and 12 rebounds.
Faulkner continues to lead the team in scoring and assists, averaging 17.2 points and 8.4 assists per game. Jones is next at 14.2 points and a team-best 6.1 rebounds per game while Clemons is averaging 11.5 points.
The Lady Eagles are averaging 79.3 points and 40.1 rebounds per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the field and 68.1 percent from the line.
UAB (15-10, 7-5) is coming off an 81-79 over Tulane last Saturday. UAB place four players in double figures led Chelsee Black with a game-high 23 points while Karisma Chapman added a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds. Ashley Grimes and Miranda Burroughs chipped in 14 and 10 points, respectively.
UAB returns eight letterwinners including two starters from last season's team that finished 18-13.
Chapman leads the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 20.5 points and 9.4 rebounds per game followed by Grimes at 14.9 points and Black next at 13.6. As a team, UAB is averaging 69.0 points and 40.2 rebounds per game while shooting 42.7 percent from the field and 70.1 percent from the line.
Coach Randy Norton is in his first season at UAB as head coach.
Series History: Southern Miss vs. UAB
This is the 55th meeting between the two teams in a series that began in 1979 with UAB winning that matchup in Birmingham. Southern Miss leads the overall series 35-19. The teams split the series last season with each winning on the road.
Following the UAB game, Southern Miss will close out the home portion of its schedule against Tulane on March 1. Following the game, the seniors will be honored in a post-game ceremony.
