HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's basketball team concludes its two-game road swing facing Florida Atlantic on Saturday at 1 p.m. central time.

Southern Miss Preview
The Lady Eagles (20-5, 9-3) are coming off a 106-96 road win at FIU. A trio of Lady Eagles scored 20 or more points as Jamierra Faulkner led the way with a team-best 30 points. Jerontay Clemons scored a career-high 26 points and Brittanny Dinkins tossed in 24 points. Alex Coyne dished out a career-high eight assists. Faulkner came up with three steals to move into the top spot on the all-time steals' list. The Lady Eagles finished the game shooting 54.4 percent from the field.
Faulkner continues to lead the team in scoring and assists, averaging 16.7 points and 8.5 assists per game. Jones is next at 14.5 points and a team-best 6.2 rebounds per game while Clemons is averaging 11.8 points.
The Lady Eagles are averaging 79.4 points and 39.8 rebounds per game while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 67.5 percent from the line.
Scouting Florida Atlantic
Florida Atlantic (13-12, 3-9) is coming off a 74-63 loss at Charlotte on Wednesday. Takia Brooks led the team with 14 points while Kimberly Smith had 12 and a team-best seven rebounds. Ashley Stevenson and Latavia Dempsey chipped in 11 points apiece.
FAU returns eight letterwinners including all five starters from last season's team that finished 12-17.
Smith leads the team in scoring, averaging a team-best 12.7 points followed by Dempsey at 11.8 points and Brooks next at 10.9. Smith also leads the team in rebounding with 5.7 rebounds per game. As a team, FAU is averaging 77.3 points and 35.4 rebounds per game while shooting 40.3 percent from the field and 68.2 percent from the line.
Coach Kellie Lewis-Jay is in her second season at Florida Atlantic as head coach.
