HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's basketball team is set to host Marshall on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the "Pink Game" for the Breast Cancer Awareness.

Southern Miss Preview
The Lady Eagles (17-5, 6-3) are coming off a 72-52 win at Charlotte. Freshman Kierra Jordan recorded her first double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jamierra Faulkner also added a double-double with 14 points and 13 assists to go with six steals. Tamara Jones just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. Jerontay Clemons chipped in 12 points.
Faulkner currently leads the team in scoring and assists, averaging 15.9 points and 8.6 assists per game. Jones is next at 13.9 points and a team-best 6.4 rebounds per game while Clemons is averaging 11.6 points.
The Lady Eagles are averaging 77.6 points and 40.2 rebounds per game while shooting 45.9 percent from the field and 65.9 percent from the line.
Marshall (8-14, 1-8) is coming off a 69-55 win over Louisiana Tech on Saturday. McKenzie Akers and Leah Scott led the team with 18 and 17 points, respectively. Chukwuka Ezeigbo added a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Chelsey Romero pulled down a team-best 15 rebounds.
Marshall returns six letterwinners including all five starters from last season's team that finished 9-21.
Scott leads the team in scoring averaging 11.7 points per game while Suporia Dickens is next at 9.7 points and leads the team in rebounding with 7.5 rebounds per game. As a team, Marshall is averaging 62.2 points and 38.6 rebounds per game while shooting 37.1 percent from the field and 63.4 percent from the line.
Coach Matt Daniel is in his second season at Marshall as head coach.

This is 19th meeting between the teams. Southern Miss leads the overall series 12-6 dating back to the 2005-06 season.
Following the Marshall game, Southern Miss remains at home to host Tulsa on Saturday at 4 p.m. and celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
