IRVING, Texas - Senior Kimberly Smith of Florida Atlantic picks up her first Conference USA Women's Basketball Player of the Week, while Southern Miss' Kierra Jordan collects her second C-USA Freshman of the Week award as voted by a select panel. Smith averaged 25 points and 10 rebounds per game, while FAU defeated Tulsa on the road and lost at home to UAB in overtime. Jordan came off the bench to average 12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game as Southern Miss posted victories over Charlotte and 21/25 Middle Tennessee.

Jordan finished the week averaging 12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game off the bench in helping Southern Miss post victories over Charlotte and 21/25 Middle Tennessee. She also connected on 52.4 percent from the field and had three steals between the two games. Jordan scored 10 points and grabbed six offensive rebounds in the upset win over MT. Against Charlotte, Jordan came off the bench to record her first double-double of the season with a team-best 15 points and 10 boards. This is Jordan's second C-USA Freshman of the Week honor, as she picked up the Dec. 30 award. Southern Miss has collected five Freshman of the Week accolades this season.
