Head Coach Joye Lee-McNelis Quotes:
"We switched defenses a couple of times about midway through the second half. We used a zone defense but we didn't rebound down so we switched to man again. We go up eight but they still able to cut the lead to two. After a timeout, we changed our defense again and Jamierra immediately came up with a steal and that's when everything started to go our way."
"It was basket after basket and that was created by our defense. Our defense was the reason why we were able to get a win tonight. We were able to get some rebounds and get out on the run."
"Jamierra Faulkner made some unbelievable plays as the clock was winding down. I don't mean plays where she was the one scoring, but where she made assists. One was to Brittanny Dinkins underneath the basket when the ball was loose on the floor and one to Kierra Jordan for an easy bucket. She played phenomenal in the second half. When Charlotte closed it to two, I thought she took control and orchestrated our team the best since she has been here."
"Another thing to recognize is that we were one point away from having five players in double figures. Tamara Jones comes off the bench early to lead us in scoring and rebounding. Kierra Jordan had another solid performance for us in the post."
