Lance Pittman begins his first season as a member of the Lady Eagle basketball staff. His duties include directing public relations and speaking events for the program; coordinating team travel; assisting with the monitoring of the players academic progress; marketing, assisting with day-to-day operations; coordinating film exchange and practice times; and is the liaison between the Wings booster club.

In addition to his basketball operations duties, Pittman will continue to serve as sideline and locker room reporter for the Southern Miss ISP Sports Network, providing listeners with game information as well as injury updates during the game and locker room interviews after the game.

Pittman, a 1985 graduate of Southern Miss with a bachelor's degree in radio, television and film, has been the voice of Golden Eagle Baseball since taking the full-time play-by-play duties with the 2002 season. In his career, Pittman served as the Voice of Lady Eagle Basketball for 13 years, while also providing play-by-play broadcasts of women's softball. He has also handled the play-by-play of Dixie Youth and Dizzy Dean baseball, Petal High School football and numerous other sporting events in the area.

A Hattiesburg, Miss., native, Pittman is married to the former Amy Pace. The couple has one son, Carson.
