Lauren Pittman is no stranger to the Southern Miss program as she was a member of the Lady Eagles (2006-07, 2008-11) for three seasons, begins her first season with the Lady Eagle program.
Pittman, a former Lady Eagles, comes to Southern Miss following a one-year stint at Jones County Junior College where they finished with a 19-7 record that included wins against four nationally ranked opponents in helping the Lady Bobcats advanced to postseason play.
Prior to coaching at Jones, Pittman coached three seasons at Petal High School where she was responsible for the strength and conditioning program. She also assisted the head coach with practices, games, fundraisers, camps and clinics.
Pittman also was a volunteer coach with the Southern Exposure, Inc. for two years.
Pittman is from Clara and is a 2006 graduate of Wayne County High School. She played three seasons at Southern Miss where she was a member of the Conference USA All-Freshman Team in 2006-07. She received her BS degree in Sports Coaching from Southern Miss in 2014 with a minor in biological sciences.
Pittman's parents are Frank and Priscilla Pittman of Clara. She has two brothers -- Blake and Scott Pittman -- who are both JCJC graduates in accounting.
