Brittany Godsey is in her first season with the Lady Eagle Basketball program, following a standout career at North Alabama where she was a four-year lettewinner for the Lion basketball team.
While at UNA, Godsey played in 104 career games, scoring 385 points to go with 214 assists, 185 rebounds and 89 steals. As a senior, she played in 26 games, drawing seven starts. As a senior, she averaged 2.6 points and 1.8 assist per game. She ranked second on the team in free throw percent, shooting 78.9 percent from the line.
Godsey was a four-year letterwinner at Lauderdale County High School for coach Brant Llewellyn. She help guide her team to four straight state final four appearances from 2001-04, including back-to-back state championships in 2002 and 2003. During her time on the LCHS varsity squad, the team also won four county titles, four area titles and was runner-up in 2001. She received all-county, all-area and all-region honors during her four-year span and was named to the Class 3A, all-state team for three years. She was a 2004 Class 3A Player of the Year finalist. As a senior, Godsey averaged 14 points, nine rebounds and five steals per game. She also played in the 2003 North-South All-Star Game. She earned letters in tennis, track and was an all-state selection in softball.
Godsey earned her bachelor's degree in English in 2008 from UNA and is currently working on a master's in sport administration. She is the daughter of Jeff and Patsy Godsey. She has one brother Connor.
