Norman Finishes 11th at U.S. Olympic Trails
SACREMENTO, Calif. – Southern Miss high jumper Cedric Norman finished in a tie for 11th in the finals of the high jump out of 14 competitors at the U.S. Olympic Trials on Sunday.
Norman cleared the height of 7’2.25” in the high jump. The top three athletes qualified for the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece next month.
Norman became only the second Southern Miss track and field athlete to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials. Donnie Young competed in the 1984 Olympic Trails in Los Angeles, Calif.
